These Terms & Conditions apply to the use of the Turfology® website and to purchases made through our online shop.

Turfology® is a trading name operated by Ian Wilson as a sole trader (“Turfology”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

By placing an order with Turfology, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Turfology® supplies lawn care products, including lawn seed, fertilisers, liquid lawn treatments and other lawn care products.

2. Our Products

We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, specifications, coverage information and other information displayed on our website are accurate.

Product packaging, appearance or specifications may occasionally change. Images are provided for illustrative purposes and colours may vary depending on lighting, photography and the device or screen being used.

Please read the information and instructions provided with each product before use.

3. Lawn Results

Photographs, before-and-after images and results shown on the Turfology website are examples of results achieved using Turfology® products.

Lawn results can vary depending on factors including existing lawn condition, soil type, preparation, application rate, seed-to-soil contact, temperature, rainfall, watering, mowing and aftercare.

Any germination, establishment or improvement times shown on our website are examples and should not be interpreted as a guarantee that every lawn will achieve identical results within the same timeframe.

4. Orders

When you place an order through our website, you are offering to purchase the products in your basket.

Please check your product selection, quantity, delivery details and other order information carefully before completing checkout.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where:

• a product is unavailable;
• there has been an obvious pricing or product-listing error;
• payment cannot be authorised;
• we cannot fulfil the order; or
• we reasonably suspect fraudulent or unlawful activity.

If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the appropriate amount.

5. Prices & Payment

All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (£).

Any applicable delivery charges will be shown before you complete your order.

Payment must be made using one of the payment methods available at checkout.

You must be authorised to use the payment method provided.

6. Pre-Orders

Some Turfology® products may be offered for pre-order before they are available for dispatch.

Where a product is a pre-order, this will be clearly indicated on the relevant product page.

Any estimated dispatch date or period represents our current expectation and is not a guaranteed delivery date.

We will make reasonable efforts to dispatch pre-orders within the stated timeframe. However, supplier, manufacturing, packaging, transport or other circumstances outside our reasonable control may cause delays.

If a significant delay occurs, we will provide affected customers with updated information where reasonably possible.

Purchasing an item as a pre-order does not remove any statutory cancellation or refund rights that apply to the purchase.

7. Delivery

Available delivery methods, charges and estimated timescales are displayed on our website and/or during checkout.

Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate delivery information.

Where a different dispatch period has been stated and agreed for a pre-order, that timeframe will apply.

8. Cancellations, Returns & Refunds

If you purchase from us as a consumer online, you may have a statutory right to cancel your order.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions or our Returns policy affects your statutory rights concerning faulty, damaged, misdescribed or otherwise non-conforming goods.

9. Damaged, Faulty or Incorrect Orders

If your order arrives damaged, you receive an incorrect product, or you believe a product is faulty, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

We may ask for your order number and photographs of the product or packaging to help us investigate the issue.

Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.

10. Using Turfology® Products

Customers should read and follow all instructions, application rates, storage information, warnings and safety information supplied with a product.

Products should only be used for their intended purpose.

Where an application rate or coverage area is specified, customers are responsible for measuring the treatment area and applying the product according to the instructions.

Turfology cannot guarantee a particular lawn result where a product has been incorrectly applied, over-applied, under-applied, incorrectly stored, used contrary to its instructions or applied in unsuitable conditions.

Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability where doing so would be unlawful.

11. Lawn Seed

Grass seed is a living agricultural product whose germination and establishment are affected by environmental conditions.

Successful establishment can depend on factors including:

• soil preparation;
• seed-to-soil contact;
• soil temperature;
• moisture and watering;
• weather conditions;
• existing lawn condition;
• application rate; and
• aftercare.

Any germination or establishment timeframe shown by Turfology is therefore indicative rather than guaranteed.

Customers should follow the sowing and aftercare instructions supplied with the product.

12. Fertilisers & Liquid Lawn Care Products

Customers using Turfology® fertilisers, liquid treatments or similar products must follow the product instructions and stated application rates.

Customers should ensure that a product is appropriate for its intended use before application.

Products must be stored and used in accordance with the instructions and safety information supplied with them.

13. Lawn Care Guides & Advice

Turfology may provide application guides, lawn care information, articles and other educational content.

This information is intended as general lawn care guidance and does not guarantee a particular outcome.

Lawns, soils, weather conditions and individual circumstances differ, so recommendations may need to be adapted accordingly.

14. Intellectual Property

The Turfology® name, branding, logos, original photographs, written content, graphics and other original material appearing on the website belong to Turfology or are used with appropriate permission unless otherwise stated.

They may not be reproduced, distributed, republished or used commercially without prior permission except where permitted by law.

15. Liability

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights relating to goods that are faulty, not as described or otherwise fail to meet applicable legal requirements.

We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed.

16. Events Outside Our Reasonable Control

We will not be responsible for a delay or failure to perform our obligations where this results from circumstances outside our reasonable control.

These circumstances may include severe weather, transport disruption, supplier disruption, industrial action or other events that could not reasonably have been prevented.

Where such circumstances affect an order, we will take reasonable steps to minimise disruption.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our products, website, business operations or applicable law.

The Terms & Conditions applying to an order will be those in effect when the order was placed.

The latest version will be available on our website.

18. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the applicable laws of the United Kingdom.

If you are a consumer, you retain any mandatory consumer protections available to you under the law applicable where you live.
